The firth of Lorn is a popular and fascinating diving venue.

The exceptionally rich diversity of the marine life is of international importance as a conservation area. The extensive rocky reefs and the complex group of islands in the south eastern part of the firth have been proposed as a Special Area of Conservation. Near Strumhor, there are wrecks and reefs and the basins and narrows of Loch Creran and Loch Etive provide a unique and exciting playground for recreational divers. Oban is well provided with dive boats and diving services.

To dive the Falls of Lora, you have only to walk out of our garden gate and cross the road. The sea is accessible (though not necessarily safe!) at all states of the tide.
