Four Star Bed and Breakfast in a unique location, at Connel, by Oban, Argyll, Scotland

Strumhor is a spacious house with magnificent views over the Falls of Lora, offering delicious home-cooked food. We love the Highlands, the islands and the ocean and want to create a special place for people to relax and enjoy them.

Begin your visit with home-baking and tea or coffee in our conservatory overlooking the sea, the hills and islands.
From here you get a superb view of the Falls of Lora

On most days you can see a variety of birds. We often see seals and occasionally even otters.

Bedrooms are decorated in a contemporary style and most overlook the sea.
Lorn is on the ground floor. It has a king-size bed, a stunning sea view an en-suite shower/bathroom and its own small sitting room.

Morvern is a standard double room with en-suite shower.

Upstairs we have two single rooms sharing a shower room.

Every bedroom has a television with DVD.#

The lounge has a contemporary yet cosy feel. We have a wood-burning stove and piano.
You are welcome to use the television, DVD and CD players.#

There is an extensive breakfast menu with freshly baked bread and choices such as scrambled egg with smoked salmon, pancakes with maple syrup or lighter choices as well as the full Scottish breakfast. Have a look at our breakfast menu.

We are outdoor enthusiasts who will gladly advise you on walks in the area, provide maps, weather forecasts and drying facilities. Tony is a qualified kayak coach and can lead trips at all levels.

There is secure storage for bicycles and private parking for cars and motor bikes. We can advise you on network of local cycle routes
